Just after a day of Facebook’s IPO on Nasdaq, the Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg got married to his long time girlfriend Priscilla Chan. The couple exchanged the wedding vows at the backyard of their house in Palo Alto, California. He surprised the world including the 100 guests who attended the wedding ceremony thinking that they were invited for Chan’s graduation party by his marriage.
Mark went public through his Facebook account and changed his status from “In a Relationship” to “Married”. He also shared one of his wedding pictures showing the bride and the groom in wedding dresses. It was a big surprise for everybody and it came just after his social networking website went public.
The 28 years CEO of world’s most popular networking site took a more romantic road for the proposal. He proposed Chan with a ruby engagement ring which he designed for her. Though the image or details for the ring are not available, the news has it that the ring has a solitaire molten red ruby.
It was perhaps a very unique engagement ring because Mark didn’t pick the traditional diamonds but he went a bit passionate in his selection. Ruby is a symbol of love, romance and passion and it shows the power and possession too. Certainly Zuckerberg had chosen ruby to express everything through symbols.
Not only Facebook CEO but many celebrities have picked ruby engagement rings to signify their emotions. And if you are also planning to walk to the altar, then a designer ruby bling is a perfect and promising option. And as the much loved young professional has picked ruby, it is again clear that the love for the colored gemstone engagement rings are steaming higher and higher.
